Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts
Special tours of the Francis Land House and Lynnhaven House* are available to Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts throughout the year. Please call (757) 385-5100 with questions or to make reservations. Please make reservations at least two weeks ahead of your visit.
Need to know: Scout programs include a guided tour by a costumed interpreter as well as a lesson with a take-home activity. Programming lasts approximately 1 hour including arrival, tour, and guided lesson. Please feel free to extend your visit by touring the grounds and gardens. You may bring a pack lunch and picnic on the grounds. Picnic tables are available at Lynnhaven House.
Fees: Scout programs cost $3 per scout, sibling, or chaperone with advanced reservations. Two scout leaders will be admitted for free with each pack or troop.
Activities: At the time of your booking you will need to select which ONE of the following activities you wish to do:
Woodland Indians and pinch pot craft,
Toys and Games with DIY Jacob’s Ladder,
Dressing the Part with DIY hand-spun wool,
Early Education with DIY Hornbook, or
Art of the Sampler where scouts practice sewing by making a sampler bookmark.
